Digital Programs Producer (Temporary)

The Whitney is looking for a Digital Programs Producer to join its Digital Content team. Reporting to the Assistant Director, Digital Content, the ideal candidate is interested in conceptualizing and producing live events that help advance the Whitney’s brand communications strategy and collaborate with and support the Museum departments responsible for engaging a variety of existing and new audiences. The position will end June 30, 2022.
- Conceptualize, plan, and execute digital programs for the Whitney’s audiences, in support of the Museum’s digital content strategy and brand communications efforts, and in collaboration with stakeholder departments responsible for audience development, engagement, and growth
- Manage event logistics from beginning to end, including:
- Ideation and proposal of events
- Outreach to and liaising with event participants, Museum colleagues, and external vendors
- Setting up Zoom events, and handling RSVPs and pre- and post-visit communications
- Drafting run-of-show documents
- Running the live event: welcoming the audience, and fielding Q&As
- Coordinating distribution of event recordings
- Creating and circulating post-event reports
- Serve as a thought partner and advisor to colleagues on digital programs
- Work with Access team to ensure events are captioned
- Other relevant duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ project management and/or digital event production experience
- Excellent planning, project management, and communication skills, with proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects and meeting deadlines
- Extremely organized, proactive, and efficient, while maintaining superb attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an interest in always improving
- Experience producing events digitally, on Zoom and YouTube
- Familiarity with project management/collaboration software (e.g., Asana, Slack)
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), Google docs, and Google Analytics
- Strong interest in and awareness of current conversations in modern and contemporary art and culture
- Able to work nights and weekends as needed for event staffing and execution
